Written by: Emily Genco
Home is where the heart is. Fortunate employees have found a professional home at Werner Electric Supply recently named one of the Top Places to Work in the Twin Cities metro area in the June 20th issue of the Star Tribune.
After collecting survey responses from over 33,000 employees working in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors of the Twin Cities, Workplace Dynamics ranked Werner Electric 13th in the Small company category. The survey measured job satisfaction on five levels: company leadership, career opportunities, workplace flexibility, compensation, and benefits.
As an electrical distributor committed to ensuring customers’ competitive advantage, Werner Electric offers a full line of electrical, automation, and data communication products serving the contractor, commercial, industrial, original equipment manufacturers, and systems integrator markets. Besides offering top products and services to customers, Werner actively works to retain its immense talent pool with company-wide incentives and added benefits including their nationally recognized health and wellness program.
Employees appreciate the sense of empowerment and opportunity that working at Werner Electric affords them. Employees also recognize the unique spirit of cooperation at Werner Electric. In a survey response published in the Star Tribune’s web content, one employee wrote, “I truly feel that this company and those that work here are a family of caring and giving people who would do just about anything for each other, personally and professionally.”
Another noted, “The desire to treat its employees so supremely has made me more humane, and I have developed more compassion for others.” With a company strategy that genuinely cares for employees and communities in addition to customers, it’s easy to see why so many have found a professional home at Werner Electric and so many customers also believe in doing business with companies whose foundation is centered around their people.
